OPEN POSITIONS
Postdoctoral Fellow
We are interested in hearing from potential postdoctoral fellows who want to study the neural circuit mechanisms in awake-behaving gerbils. The incumbent will work on a project dedicated to investigating the neural mechanisms of auditory decision-making. The laboratory uses a variety of state-of-the-art tools and techniques to examine the neural substrates of awake-behaving gerbils performing an auditory or audiovisual task. These include sophisticated psychophysical paradigms, high-channel count electrophysiological recordings, optogenetics, DREADDs, and sophisticated computational analytic approaches.
Applicants must have a PhD in Neuroscience or a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Biology, Pharmacology, Engineering, etc) with specialized skills in animal behavior.
If interested, please email your CV to justin.yao@rutgers.edu.

Laboratory Technician
We are seeking a highly motivated applicant to join our team as a full-time laboratory technician. The incumbent will have the opportunity to gain experience with a number of experimental techniques, including awake-behaving neurophysiology, chemogenetics, and optogenetics while conducting behavioral experiments in gerbils to study the neural mechanisms of auditory decision-making. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing daily laboratory activities.
Applicants must have a BS or BA in Neuroscience or a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Biology, Pharmacology, Engineering, etc).
